    1. Make sure the charging contacts on both the handset and base are clean. You can clean the contacts with an eraser and a soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners on the charge contacts of your product.
    2. Charge the new battery for at least 16 hours prior to use.
    3. If problems persist we recommend installing a new battery.

  • What should I do if my Cordless phone has no dial tone and does not seem to work at all?

    1. Check all cabling to make sure that all connections are secure and not damaged.
    2. Disconnect and then reconnect the line cord at the modular jack. If it still does not work then try another phone. If neither phone works, then the problem is not in your phone.
    3. The handset might be out of range of the base. Move closer to the base.
    4. Make sure the battery is properly charged (for 16 hours). Ensure the battery pack is installed correctly.

    Did the handset beep when you pressed the TALK/CALL BACK button? Did the in use indicator come on? The battery may need to be charged.

    Make sure that the unit is connected to a non-switched electrical outlet. Unplug the AC power converter from the unit and plug it back in.

    5. If that did not work, follow the RESET instructions in the FAQ list or your User Guide.

  • Handset cannot link.

    If any handsets become inoperable, place it on the main base cradle for 20 seconds to re-register.

  • How can I reset my answering machine?

    1. If your answering machine does not work at all, check all connections.

  • What should I do if my cordless telephone display shows "Searching" or "Out of Range"?

    If your handset displays Searching or Out of Range and cannot link up with the base when the Talk button is pressed, check the following: 1. Handset may be out of range of the base. Move closer to the base.
    2. Make sure the base power adaptor is properly installed and connected to a working electrical outlet.
    3. Disconnect the handset battery and plug it in again. Place the handset on the cradle for at least 2 to 3 minutes.
    4. Disconnect the power adaptor and remove any back up batteries from the base. Wait for 3 seconds and insert the backup batteries into the base, then plug the power adaptor back into the base. Replace the handset on the cradle for at least 2 to 3 minutes.

  • Why is my Corded phone display blank?

    1. Replace the batteries.
    2. Make sure the batteries are properly installed.
    3. Charge the battery.

  • What should I check if my phone does not ring?

    1. Make sure ringer switch is not set to OFF.
    2. You may have too many telephone devices connected to your line. Unplug some extension phones.
    3. Check for a dial tone. If there is no dial tone see solutions for No dial tone.

  • What should I do if my Cordless Phone does not have a dial tone?

    1. Check all cables to make sure that all connections are secure and not damaged.
    2. Disconnect and then reconnect the line cord at the modular jack. If it still does not work then try another phone in the same wall jack. If neither phone works, then the problem is not in your phone unit.

    4. Make sure base is not plugged into an electrical outlet with another household appliance.

  • What should I do if the Charge/In Use light or Voicemail Indicator on my phone is flashing?

    When the Charge/In Use indicator on the base flashes, it means you have new voicemail.

    Provided your phone company offers voice messaging service and you subscribe to it, the Charge/In Use indicator on the base flashes when the phone is not in use to indicate there is a message waiting.

    It stops flashing after the message has been reviewed.

  • Why is the display flashing on my answering machine?

    If your answering machine is flashing characters on the indicator, check to make sure the clock is set and the answering machine memory is not full. For further explanations on the message indicators, check your owners manual.

  • Why is the display on the base blinking the letters CL?

    The voice time/day stamp on the answer system needs to be set, this is true even if you have Caller ID. The day of the week will still need to be set manually.

  • What should I do if my cordless telephone display shows "Please Register"?

    If your handset displays Please Register, follow this procedure:
    1. Press the Menu/OK button or Program button on the handset to enter the Main menu. This button may be a 'soft key' under the word Menu in the display.
    2. Navigate to the Handset Setup selection if it appears (Use the Up, Down, Left or Right buttons) then press Menu/OK or Program.
    3. Navigate to the Registration or Handset Registration selection and press Menu/OK or Program.
    4. You may be presented with 1-Yes and 2-No as selections. If so, press the 1 button. Then press Program.
    5. Press and hold the Page button on the base for 5 seconds. (The handset display may instruct you to do this.) The charge/in use indicator on the base may begin flashing and / or the handset display may instruct you to press the Program button.
    6. Successful registration will be indicated in the handset display.

  • Why doesn't my answering machine answer calls?

    1. Check all connections and make sure the answering machine is turned on.
    2. If calls are answered on 10th ring, the memory is full. Delete old messages to free up space and allow new messages to be recorded.
    3. Make sure the rings to answer is set to your needs, Check your owner's manual to determine if your machine has this feature.

  • How do I retrieve my voicemail?

    Voicemail systems vary by telephone service provider. For instructions on how to access your voicemail, please contact the company that provides your telephone service.

  • How do I get the Caller ID information to display on my phone?

    Follow this procedure for no Caller ID display:
    1. Fully charge (for 16 hours) or replace the battery.
    2. Make sure that the power adapter is connected to a non-switched electrical outlet.
    3. Unplug the AC power adapter from the unit and plug it back in.
    4. Be sure to wait until the second ring before answering the phone or you might miss the Caller ID information. NOTE: To see Caller ID information in your display, you must be subscribed to Caller ID service through your local telephone company. If the Caller ID works for normal calls but not on Call Waiting calls, then you must contact your phone company to get the combined "Caller ID with Call Waiting" service.

  • What should I do if my cordless telephone display shows "Unavailable"?

    If your handset displays Unavailable, follow this procedure:
    1. Place the handset on the main base for a reset.
    2. Check to ensure an additional handset is not in use.
    3. Try moving closer to the base.

  • How can I use more than one cordless handset on a phone call?

    To connect an additional handset to your phone conversation, press the Conference (CONF) button. Then enter the handset number of the additional handset. When the additional handset answers, press the Conference (CONF) button again.

    NOTE: Not all phones have conferencing capability or a CONF button. Check your User Guide if you are unsure.

  • What should I do if my Corded Phone does not have a dial tone?

    1. Check all cables to make sure that all connections are secure and not damaged. Disconnect & then reconnect the line cord at the modular jack.
    2. If it still does not work then try another phone in the same wall jack. If neither phone works, then the problem is not in your phone.

    In order to receive Caller ID records, you must subscribe to the standard name and number Caller ID service available through your local telephone company. Be sure to wait until the second ring before answering.

  • Why is the display on the base blinking the letter F?

    The answering system memory is full.

  • What should I do if my phone is out of range?

    1. Move closer to the base.
    2. Reset the battery. - Unplug the battery and plug it in again after five seconds.
    3. Reset the power supply. - Unplug the supply and plug it in again after five seconds.

  • Why doesn't the phone answer, or only answers on 10th ring?

    1. Make sure the answerer is turned on.
    2. The memory may be full, erase some messages.
    3. Check the AC power and phone line connections.

  • What should I check if my Speakerphone is not working?

    If the speaker portion of the phone is not working, it may be because the optional batteries have not been installed, or the AC power cord is not plugged in. Some models require optional batteries to operate the speaker while others do not. Check your owner's manual for details.

  • I subscribe to Voice Mail service but the VMWI indicator doesn't activate on my telephone. What should I do?

    If you hear a series of short beeps when you first pick up the phone, your phone company does not send the required signal to alert the telephone. Contact your phone company and find out if they offer the Voice Mail service with FSK signaling instead.

  • Why can't I access my answering machine from a remote phone?

    1. The phone you are calling from must be a touch-tone phone.
    2. Was the correct security code entered?
    3. Did unit hang up? If you take no action for a short period of time, it automatically hangs up.

  • What should I do if my Corded Phone won't dial out?

    1. Make sure the T/P (Tone/Pulse) dialing mode is set to the type of phone service you are subscribed to.
    2. If dialing a number from the Caller ID, check to make sure the number is formatted correctly before dialing.

  • How do I store phone numbers in the "memory dial" locations?

    To store numbers in memory for most telephone products , follow this general procedure.
    1. Pick up the handset. The button used for storing numbers may be labeled memory, or store.
    2. Press the memory storage button on your phone, Press the number on the keypad, 1 through 9, that you want to use for that stored number.
    3. Dial the number you wish to store in memory, then press the memory storage button again. Remember to hang up between storing numbers. Some models allow you to store a pause by pressing the pause, redial or dial button. Consult your owner's manual for specific instructions for your phone.

  • How do I turn off the "not accepting calls" message?

    Unless you have recorded your outgoing announcement (OGA) to say that you are not available, callers should only hear that you are not accepting calls if you have enabled privacy manager. Privacy manager is provided by your telephone company. For instruction on how to enable or disable Privacy Manager, please contact the company that provides your telephone service.

  • How do I use the Call Waiting feature on my phone?

    To use the call waiting feature purchased through your phone company, always press the flash button on the handset. If you use the talk button, or end button the to access this feature, you might accidentally disconnect the call.

  • Why are my incoming messages incomplete?

    1. Was an extension phone picked up? If so then the message would not be complete.
    2. The caller left a message that is longer than the message length you set during setup.
    3. Check to see if the message memory is full.

  • Why is my phone displaying a Caller ID Error Message?

    The unit displays this message if it detects anything other than valid Caller ID information during the silent period after the first ring. This message typically indicates the presence of noise on the line. You must be subscribed to the standard Name/Number Caller ID service from your local telephone company to receive Caller ID information.
